Have you ever seen an abs belt? If not, then you’re lucky. Abs belts can do wonders for your body. If you’re really determined, you can do the splits while wearing one. It’s also beneficial for your heart.
Abs belts help you burn fat. Why? Because they force you to use more muscle groups. But here’s the secret – you don’t need to workout intensely with an abs belt to burn fat. In fact, you can burn fat more efficiently with an abs belt when you do a gentle exercise, with less effort, and with fewer muscles engaged. When you exercise with an abs belt, you don’t work the abs because it’s easier. But when you exercise gently, with less effort, and with many muscles engaged, you work the abs and get an immediate, effective result.
So you see, you don’t need to workout with an abs belt to burn fat. The only ones able to burn fat are people who exercise with an abs belt – but even they need more effort and fewer muscles engaged than ordinary exercises.
And as to the heart benefits of abs belts – yes, they do have an effect on your heart. But it’s no better than the effect of any other exercise you do. Any exercise strengthens your heart. If you have a job that keeps you sitting most of the day, sitting strengthens your heart – as does riding a bicycle, climbing a flight of stairs, and just standing and walking. No need to worry about strengthening your heart with exercise. And if you’re working out and your blood pressure is elevated, your heart is strengthened too – just as if you’d sat on a bike. Exercise is good for the heart.
Now that you know that exercise is good for your heart, the next question is…
“Should I exercise?”
Good question. Unfortunately, the answer is… yes. But just like with the question about your abs – there are pros and cons to exercising. Remember – the answer is “yes” only if you want to. If you want to burn fat and get lean, then yes, you should exercise.
Just don’t expect to exercise every day for hours on end. Or to get ripped. And definitely don’t expect to sweat out while exercising. Maybe next time you should ask yourself whether you should do it.
